post Easy to open bottle lid

April 24th, 2008

There is nothing better than a cold drink on a hot summer day. Out of the fridge, nice little bottle of water or a fizzy beverage… can be very hard to open!

Indeed, if you hands are sweaty and the bottle is cold enough, there is not enough friction between fingers and the lid to open the bottle. Especially true for small kids and my wife!

Here is how this problem could be easily solved.

What do I usually do when I can’t open the bottle? I use a napkin to increase friction between my fingers and the lid. Right, if only the lid was something to hold on to.

Adding small “handles” to the lid would make it possible to open a bottle in any conditions. With them, even of the lid was covered with oil, one would have no trouble turning it.
