Living a modern life can be stressful and there is nothing we can do about it. What we can do is to manage the stress.
One of the best ways to let off steam is to smash something like a plate against the wall (no kidding). The problem is that the resulting mess will cause additional stress. Vicious circle? Not at all.

How would you answer this question without getting into technical details? How would you explain why do we need to format a hard drive before we can write data on it to a person who has just started using computers?
I’ve been trying to come up with a simple explanation for years! It only recently struck me that the formatting procedure can be easily illustrated.

When it comes to an armed combat, one of the top priorities for both sides is saving lives of their own soldiers. You can not win if there is no one to shoot at your enemy.
Here is an idea on how to dramatically increase the survivability of soldiers in the field using nanodust.

The Transformation tool in CorelDraw allows to move and transform an object precisely by entering a value into the text box.
But very often I only need to change the sign of the transformation value, not the value itself. For example, after moving an object up by 1 mm, I now want to move it down.

A USB series “A” plug is the most common plug when it comes to computers today. Almost everything can be connected via USB interface: memory sticks, phones, printers, hard drives, even mini rocket-launchers and fans!
However, this USB plug is one of the most annoying things in the world: it’s hard to tell which way the plug should go into a socket, especially in low-light conditions.
Manufacturers are trying to solve this problem, but there is a better way.

When was the last time you asked someone to give you his or her mobile number? I did it last week and found myself in this embarrasing situation for the millionth time:
- Me:
- It was nice seeing you again, mate! Can I give you a call later?
- Sasha:
- Sure, what’s you number?
- Me:
- Erm… I don’t remember. Let me check…
I spent the next five minutes trying to find my mobile number. We ended up typing Sasha’s number into my phone and me calling him so he can finally have my number.
A couple of solutions can help exchange numbers between two mobile phones.

The steering wheel is possibly the most uncomfortable component of any car. It gets cold in winter and hot and sweaty in summer. There is no easy way to avoid this.
Some cars have heated steering wheels, but it does not help is the summer. Gloves and steering wheel covers can kind of do the trick but there are additional problems associated with them.
I have an idea about how to make a steering wheel comfortable no matter the temperature.
